The residential neighbourhood of Lago Lindo is found in north Edmonton. Lago Lindo translates from Spanish to “pretty lake” in English, and there are two lakes in the neighbourhood, both named after communities in Spain. The majority of Lago Lindo homes were built in the 1980s, and are almost all single-family homes that are owner-occupied. There are two schools in Lago Lindo, both are elementary schools. One, operated by the Edmonton Public School System, is called Lago Lindo Elementary School, and the other, operated by the Edmonton Catholic School System, is called Bishop Greschuk Catholic Elementary School.
