Deer Ridge St. Albert Real Estate
Found in the city of St. Albert is the subdivision of Deer Ridge. Traditionally, St. Albert has elected members of the Conservative Party of Canada to the federal legislature. John G. Williams was elected and served 5 terms as the Member of Parliament for St. Albert, after the rise of the Reform Party of Canada and it’s subsequent change to the Canadian Alliance. Williams then went on to become a Conservative MP after the Alliance merged with the Progressive Conservative Party in 2003 before he stepped down in 2008. The current Member of Parliament is Michael Cooper of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Currently in the legislature, St. Albert is represented by the United Conservative Party of Alberta. Previously, it has alternated between Liberal and Conservative representatives. The governing body of St. Albert is currently composed of mayor Cathy Heron, as well as 6 city Councillors. The last municipal election was held October 16, 2017, and are held every four years.
