Caernarvon Edmonton Real Estate
The neighbourhood of Caernarvon is found in north Edmonton. Caernarvon is named after a castle in Wales. The majority of residential construction in Caernarvon was done in the 1970s and 1980s according to the 2001 federal census. During that time a total of 82.1% of Caernarvon residences were built. According to the 2005 municipal census, the most common type of housing is the single-family dwelling, accounting for 59% of all Caernarvon homes. The next most popular housing type is the row house, which accounts for 22% of all residences in Caernarvon, and another 13% is made up of duplexes. The remaining is made up of apartment-style condominiums and low-rise apartment buildings. A total of 74% of Caernarvon residences are owner-occupied, and the remaining 26% are rented. The two neighbourhood schools are Caernarvon Elementary School which operates under the Edmonton Public School System, and the Katherine Therien Catholic School which operates under the Edmonton Catholic School System.
