The neighbourhood of Hairsine is found in north east Edmonton. The majority of residences in Hairsine were constructed during the 1970s and 1980s, according to the 2001 federal census. 59.1% of Hairsine residences were constructed between 1971 and 1980, and another 39.4% were constructed between 1981 and 1990. The row house is the most common housing type in Hairsine, according to the 2005 municipal census. 51% of Hairsine residences are row houses, 26% are single-family homes, 18% are apartments, and 5% are duplexes.
